Backstage (Options)
By getting to know the backstage (options) of each of your software packages you can customise the software to meet your needs. Few people sit and check what can be changed to make life easier when working on the software. Items you can change in Options are shown below the video.

| Excel | When you open Excel it opens with one worksheet. You can change this option to open with 2-3 worksheets depending on your needs | General | When creating new workbooks |
| If you do not like the font that Excel opens with, you can the font in the backstage so that it always opens with the font of your choice. | General | When creating new workbooks | |
| You can create your own custom lists to include in your spreadsheets instead of typing them out | Advanced | General | |
| Word | You can change how Word corrects or formats the text you type by using AutoCorrect. Word is set up with the general corrections that they would expect users to need. You can change or add to this list. A good example will be when you type the acronym of an organisation, It would automatically type it out in full. | Proofing |
