The format painter allows you to copy formatting from one part of your document to another.  N.B.  if you want to copy formatting to one place only, click the Format Painter once – if you want to copy it to more than one instance, double-click the Format Painter.  This will allow you to apply the format in more than one place in your document.  Remember to click the Format Painter again to switch it off once you are finished.
