Assignments

At the end of each module is an assignment/s relating to the topic/s.  The aim of the assignment is to see how you apply the skills and knowledge that you have gained through experience and learning in the workplace.  It is important that you answer in your own words and from your own experience.

The answer can be as long or short as you want – what is important is that you answer the question fully and concisely.  It is important to ensure that you answer what was asked and that you give the detail for your decision / solution where necessary.  Example:  the assignment for module 1 needs 6 skills AND an explanation.  Not just a list of the skills you find important – the explanation must substantiate your choice.

The assignment forms part of your Portfolio of Evidence.  The assignment will be assessed, and you will be found “competent” or “not yet competent”.  If you are found “not yet competent”, you will be asked to redo the assignment and you will be reassessed.  At the end of the programme, you will have completed all the assignments for your Portfolio of Evidence and the assessment will be complete.  If you have successfully achieved a ‘competent’ for all your assignments, you will be awarded a professional designation.
